Pokémon Go Fest may have been bitter for some including Niantic, however, after releasing the Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Go, it’s revenue spiked and returned to its former glory days when the game first came out.

Players around the world spent about $5.8 Million Dollars on iOS last Saturday, July 23rd when Niantic released the highly anticipated Legendary Pokémon Lugia and Articuno in Pokémon Go.

SensorTower reports that Pokémon Go has become No. 1 in the Apple App Store top-grossing chart in 23 countries including the U.S.

More Legendary Pokémon are scheduled to release in the coming weeks and we anticipate it’ll help maintain this newly found momentum.
