Update 8/2 8:11 PM ET:
Looks like Rabbid Yoshi is indeed out of control – he has hijacked Rabbid Luigi’s character description! Even though rules don’t apply to Rabbid Yoshi, we would like to point out that this mix-up occurred on Ubisoft’s end.
As the release date for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle inches closer, Ubisoft dropped another crumb today to excite fans: character details and stats.
The game’s website updated today to show detailed descriptions, stats, weapons, and techniques for each playable character: Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, and their respective Rabbid versions. Each character are also assigned classes such as team fighter, brawler, and eggsploder, along with descriptions of each character’s specialties.
Each character comes with their own special move abilities, designed after their signature moves such as Stomp Jump for Mario and Ground Pound for Yoshi. They also have two techniques each, with most of them bearing referential names such as “Steely Stare” for Luigi. Meanwhile, their offense, defense, and mobility are rated on a scale of five stars. Lastly, they are equipped with a main weapon and a sub weapon, with the latter usually being a projectile such as a Grenaduck.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle releases on August 29 and is currently available for pre-order from major retailers and at the Ubi Store. Those who preorder from the Ubi Store are eligible to get the Pixel Pack, which includes eight pixelated weapons, a selection of 3-inch and6-inch collectible figurines for Rabbid Mario, Rabbid Luigi, Rabbid Yoshi, and Rabbid Peach are also available for purchase.
