Take-Two Interactive Future Release Table

According to Take Two Interactive’s press release of their most recent fiscal report, the physical edition for “NBA 2K18” and “WWE 2K18” on Switch are both delayed to Fall 2017.

The lengthy press release included the company’s lineup of future titles across all of their developing companies. “NBA 2K18” is listed for a September 19 release but with a “digital” note beside the Switch. Further down, the game is listed again for the Switch but with a different release window for the physical version. This delay does not affect the other formats of the game (PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC).

Meanwhile, “WWE 2K18” for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are both on track to release on October 17, while the Switch version does not have a definitive date.

The reason for the delays are currently unknown. Some fans are speculating that the delay may have something to do with the Switch utilizing cartridges instead of discs.
