Sightings of Mewtwo have already appeared in Pokémon GO due to the Pokémon GO stadium event in Yokohama, Japan this week.

Due to this event, many questions begun to circulate as to when Trainers outside of Japan will have the opportunity to catch the Legendary Mewtwo, and Niantic have provided information regarding its availability in-game.

Players around the world will have the opportunity to catch the Legendary Mewtwo Pokémon in Pokémon GO through Exclusive Raid Battle Invitiations in Pokémon GO. Unlike the current Raid Battles in Pokémon GO, trainers will be invited to Exclusive Raid Battles by defeating a Raid Battle at the location as to where the Exclusive Raid Battles will take place in the coming weeks.

In addition to Mewtwo appearing around the world through Exclusive Raid Battles, the newly released Legendary birds will come back to Pokémon GO for a limited time only once again through Raid Battles from August 14 through August 31. Powerful Pokémon will also begin to hatch through Raid Battles as well in the coming weeks.
