Users on the r/TheSilphRoad subreddit have uncovered info in the source code for Pokemon Go hinting at new Pokémon and items coming soon. Might we see 3rd generation Pokémon and a new “Super Incubator” item in a future content release?

A Reddit post by user “Chrales” shows what appear to be Pokemon numbers 252 through 386. This list includes the legendary Pokémon Groudon, Kygore, Rayquaza, and Jirachi. These Pokémon originally appeared in Pokémon Ruby & Pokémon Sapphire for the Game Boy Advance.

The post also provides an in-game sprite image for a “Super Incubator.” This new item could serve to speed up egg incubation or increase the chance to hatch high-powered Pokémon.

So far, neither The Pokémon Company or Niantic have announced any plans to include the 3rd generation in Pokémon Go, so take this news with a grain of salt. While recent updates have shown Niantic expanding the game’s Pokémon roster, we’ll keep an eye out for official announcements in the near future.
