Popular anime My Hero Academia is getting a fighting game for Nintendo Switch, courtesy of Bandai Namco. The game is described as a “battle action game” in which you use your character’s “quirks” in order to blast your foes through buildings and walls scattered throughout the stages.

Two characters have been revealed so far – the main protagonist, Izuku Midoriya, inheritor of the “One for All” quirk, and Tomura Shigaraki, a hand-covered villain whose quirk is “Decay”. Izuku’s quirk gives him greatly increased strength but damages him as a result, and Tomura’s quirk allows him to “decay” anything he touches with his own hands. No doubt we’ll see plenty more heroes join the fight, but already these two show that there’ll be plenty of playstyle diversity on the roster.

Bandai Namco has announced that the first trailer for the game will premiere at Jump Festa 2018, on December 16th and a new stage event will be revealed as well at 12:00 JST! We here at NinMobileNews will be sure to cover that trailer when it happens, so stay tuned.
