Niantic has finally unveiled the next generation of Pokémon for Pokémon GO in a new trailer. Starting later this week, Trainers can expect to find Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, and more Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn region in the Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire games to appear in Pokémon GO. Only 50 of the 135 Hoenn Pokémon will be available from the start and more to come in the following weeks.
In addition to new Pokémon, Niantic will be introducing a new dynamic weather system in Pokémon GO that will change the way you play, discover and catch Pokémon. As we reported earlier this week, Niantic had also updated its mapping system to OpenStreetMaps which will include new cool weather visuals and now the weather near you will impact how you find Pokémon in-game.
It’s been a long while since we’ve gotten new changes to Pokémon GO and this one is definitely a great addition to the bunch. Let us know what you think of the new updates coming to Pokémon GO, are you ready to start catching?
