Update 12/10/17: We received a statement from the team at Psyonix and more details and timing regarding a physical release for Rocket League on Switch will be announced sometime this week.
A product listing appeared today from EB Games Australia featuring a physical collector’s edition for Rocket League on Nintendo Switch. Fans who pick up this edition get an exclusive art print and tons of DLC extras.
We haven’t seen similar listings from North American or other retailers, but the EB Games page does state the collector’s edition is “coming to retail stores worldwide.” The listing shows a release date of January 24, 2018 and a price tag of $59.95AUD (about $45USD.) Psyonix has yet to confirm these details, or announce the collector’s edition themselves.
In addition to the Rocket League game cartridge, there’s plenty of extra content included in this edition. According to the listing, the physical version includes DC Comic’s “The Flash” themed wheels and banner, all 3 previous DLC packs, premium Battle-Cars, and the art print.
While we don’t get a look at the art print just yet, the listing does show off the physical box art and “The Flash” items. We’ve reached out to Psyonix for details and confirmation of the EB Games listing’s validity. Rocket League is also available now on the Nintendo eShop, for those who want to get in on the action before January.
