Amazon has undoubtedly become one of the leading retailers in the world and new changes to their Prime Membership are now in effect. For those who aren’t familiar with Amazon’s Prime Membership, it’s a yearly/monthly subscription which offers their customers unlimited free 2-day shipping, 20% off savings when you pre-order on physical video games including release-date delivery.

For new monthly subscribers to the service, Amazon has raised its prices from $10.99 to $12.99 on January 19, 2018. Prime Student monthly plan for new sign-ups has increased from $5.49 to $6.49. Existing monthly Prime and Prime Student members will adopt the new price for renewals after February 18, 2018.

However, if you are an annual Prime Member, you’ll continue to pay $99, Annual Prime Student members continue to pay $49. Considering the benefits of having a Prime Membership, we highly suggest signing up for annual membership as it’ll only cost $99 rather than paying about $156 a year for a monthly subscription to the service.
