Psyonix has outlined its upcoming plans for Rocket League on consoles including Nintendo Switch. For the first few months of this year, new updates for the game will include Competitive Seasons, Maps, Events, and DLC. Feature updates that focus on new functionality like Tournaments and Cross-Platform Parties are also in the works, including graphical improvements for the game on Nintendo Switch.
Starting this Spring, a new update for Rocket League will be released on Nintendo Switch which will feature two new graphical modes for the system for docked and handheld modes. In performance mode, Rocket League will be playable at 900p (Docked) / 720p (Handheld) at 60 FPS with infrequent dynamic resolution scaling. For those who’d prefer playing in Quality Mode, Rocket League will be playable at a native Native 1080p (Docked) / 720p (Handheld) at 30 FPS with added visual effects.
