Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp’s latest update is here and with it brings a bunch of new features and options. Let’s run down the list of what this new update adds to the game.

Dress em’ up

First off, you can now dress up visiting villagers with clothes you own. While it doesn’t work for every piece of clothing, if you ever thought Bob would look smashing in a maid’s outfit, now’s your chance. You will need to reach a specific friendship level with each villager to dress them up, so if someone’s not dressable yet, you better going with those requests!

New Ways To Play

Brake Tapper, an arcade-style minigame, has been added to the OK Motors area. It requires friend powders to play, and if you line up the pictures correctly, you’ll net yourself caps. Earn enough caps, and you can spend them on a variety of prizes.

Send a Tune!

You can now send “tunes” to nearby players to ask them to be your friend. By tapping on the ‘Add Friends’ option, you can hit Send a Tune, and send a song snippet to nearby players. Players who accept the tune and send one back become your friend.

Decorate as you please

Other updates include the ability to place down multiple rugs at once, an increase in the number of friends who can help you at Shovelstrike Quarry, and other minor text updates. To go along with the rug update, a ton of new rugs have been added into the game.

That’s all that’s in the official update, but we’re not done quite yet. There’s also a datamine, courtesy of the Pocket Camp subreddit which reveals a bunch of content planned for the game.

More content coming soon

First up, we have five new animals on their way. Fuschia, Eugene, Octavian, Freya, and Dottie will be making their way soon to a campsite near you! As usual for new additions, their icons and photos have been added, as well as clothes and furniture for them. Interestingly, Leif the Sloth, the NPC usually associated with the garden store, has also shown up alongside them in the game files. Could he be involved with the recently added gardening area? We’ll have to wait and see.

No brakes, more events scheduled

Four new events have been added to the code index. These are Crystal Collection, Timed Challenge, Event Challenge, and the fifth round of Host the Most. Of these, Crystal Collection has had banners and items uncovered for it, including clothes, furniture, and a new resource, the titular crystals. A pair of banners advertising the event has been uncovered.

Other miscellaneous changes and additions include new tips and tutorial screens, a new type of request from your villagers about them finding lost items, and some coding mentions of the balloon feature from the console titles. None of these are in the game fully yet, but as of this update, they’re likely not too far off.

For now, that’s everything though. For all future updates on Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, keep posted to NinMobileNews as well as our sister community, ACPocketNews.
