When announced last year, the crossover between Rocket League and Hot Wheels seemed like a match made in red-hot motorized heaven. The high-octane boosting action of Rocket League was a perfect match for the classic cars of Hot Wheels. Now, on the heels of their success previously, both groups are furthering their support of each other with a new physical playset for Rocket League cars, and an additional set of Hot Wheels DLC.

The new playset features the popular Octane and Dominus Battlecars, reimagined as RC-controlled Hot Wheels cars. An included stadium, ball, and RC controllers will allow you to bring the action of Rocket League into the real world. Also included with the set is a code for the DLC expansion for Rocket League, though what that entails has yet to be seen. Here’s a first look at the Hot Wheels Rocket League RC Rivals Set.

Both companies also spoke very highly of each other and their crossover, with Rocket League Vice President Jeremy Dunham teasing that “this is just the beginning of what we have planned.” It certainly seems that the two IPs are both quite happy to continue working together, so expect to see even more crossover content in the future.
