With all of the hype circulating for the next installment for Super Smash Bros., Platinium Games seemingly has a few ideas as to who they’d like to add to the game. As pointed out by Liam Robertson on Twitter, when scanning certain amiibo in Bayonetta 2, Rodin makes a few comments about the figures that are scanned in and makes references to their respective games. One of those comments mentions Bayonetta mixing it up with all-stars from the fight club she’s in and he’s hungry for some sparrin’ practice.

As this could literally mean nothing, it’s pretty clear that this is a reference to Smash Bros. Something to note is that this message specifically wasn’t available in the Wii U port of the game and Bayonetta wasn’t a playable character in Smash Bros by the time the game was released. Neither should this be taken as an official confirmation as to his involvement in the next Super Smash Bros. title, however, we wouldn’t mind that at all!
