Animal Crossing’s latest update was just pushed through, and though it was billed as a simple bugfix patch, there’s much more hiding under the surface. Thanks again to our friends over at the ACPocketCamp subreddit for datamining these new additions out for us. Without further ado, let’s get into what this new update brings with it.
New Animals and the Harmonious Essence
A herd of new animals are on their way to campsites! Curt, Drago, Bill, Margie, and Gladys are all going to be making their mobile debut soon. They bring with them a new essence, Harmonious Essence, which in turn brings in new amenities. Expect to see these new items and villagers soon.
New Furniture
New furniture has been added as well, including a number of pieces with an eastern theme. There’s even a samurai armor! Expect to see these new items spicing up people’s campsites soon.
New Clothes
Some new clothes have also joined the mix, with suggestions that certain items may be part of the crafting system. Get your glam on with these hot new looks.
New Rugs
A batch of new rugs will also make their debut, hot on the heels of the prior update that allowed for multiple rugs to be placed at a campsite.
New Events
Banners and items regarding two new events have been added in this update as well. One is themed around Leif, the gardening Sloth, and is a Spring Gardening centric-event, which will run from February 27th up to March 10th. The other features include tons of goodies from Super Mario. The event will start on March 10th (Mar10 Day), fittingly enough, and it’ll run through March 22nd. Could Super Mario Run payback Animal Crossing with a crossover of its own? We’ll have to wait and see.
And Celeste!
Finally, rounding off this update’s additions is Celeste! Much like K.K. Rider and Tom Nook before her, adorable owlet Celeste is coming to Pocket Camp with a special item that brings her to your campsite, a telescope. Once you’ve built and placed the item, she’ll be able to visit your campsite regularly.
