Square Enix’s pixelated beauty Octopath Traveler continues its march towards the Switch, with today’s direct revealing two new playable characters, Tressa the Merchant and Alfyn the Apothecary. Both of these characters come with their own quirks that can inform the way you play the game.

Tressa can purchase items from numerous characters in the game that other party members normally wouldn’t be able to interact with, while Alfyn’s investigative nature allows him to gather more information from NPCs that they’d otherwise be tight-lipped about. The multi-classing feature was also revealed, allowing characters to have one class in the overworld, and another in battle.

Also revealed was a massive special edition for the game, called the Wayfarer’s Edition. This version of the game includes everything under the sun, with a pop-up book, a map, a soundtrack CD, and a commemorative coin all packed in with the game. You can see all these items included here in this handy image.

The game was also finally given a release date! You’ll be able to add this latest Square-Enix adventure to your collection July 13th. For future news on Project Octopath and all things Nintendo, keep posted to NinMobileNews.
