Deadline is reporting they’ve exclusively learned that a Resident Evil TV series is in the works with Netflix in partnership with Constantin Film, the studio behind the Resident Evil movies.
According to Deadline the TV adapation will help to expand the Resident Evil universe and search is underway for a showrunner to assist in the adaptation. The TV series will explore the dark inner workings of the Umbrella Corporation and the new world order caused by the outbreak of the T-virus.
The show will include several Easter Eggs and action sequences as expected from the Resident Evil series. An official announcement is pending, however, it’s exciting news if true.
