前作に登場した「ブキチセレクション」のうち、ベッチューコレクションで登場していないメインウェポンのブキ10種類を追加開発することが発表された。
上記以外のアップデートもあとほんの少しだけ計画中だが、時期などの詳細は未定だ。

Nintendo has announced last week at the Splatoon Koshien 2019 tournament that new content is coming soon to Splatoon 2. With this announcement, Nintendo mentioned 10-returning weapons from ‘Sheldon’s Picks’ which will be returning to Splatoon 2 from the original game from the Wii U, Splatoon. We’ve included a list of the weapons confirmed, courtesy of Siliconera:
- Heavy Splatling Remix
- Sploosh-o-matic 7
- Fresh Squiffer
- Cherry H-3 Nozzlenose
- N-ZAP ‘83
- Soda Slosher
- Aerospray PG
- Bamboozler 14 Mk III
- Permanent Inkbrush
- Grim Range Blaster
In addition to returning weapons, more content is planned for Splatoon 2, however, Nintendo hasn’t disclosed what that will entail or when it’ll be available. For those who’ve been on the offense of purchasing Splatoon 2, Nintendo will be hosting a demo event starting March 26 – April 1, 2019. For a full week, players will have the opportunity to play online and experience the game including modes such as Salmon Run, Turf Wars and Ranked Matches. Content from the demo will be carried over to the full version of the game when purchased.
