If you’ve been diligently avoiding Piranha Plant in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s All-Star Mode, you’ll have to keep doing so for a while longer.
That’s because Nintendo of America confirmed today that they are unable to reproduce the issues surrounding the toothy plant. Here’s the official statement as obtained by Newsweek:
We are aware that some users are posting about possible issues with the latest Super Smash Bros. Ultimate update. After extensive testing, Nintendo has not been able to confirm that there is an issue, although we will continue to investigate and monitor the situation.
If you’re not sure what’s going on, let us catch you up to speed. Piranha Plant, the first DLC character in Smash Bros. Ultimate, became available on January 29 for those who registered their copy of the game through My Nintendo. A few hours later, reports of corrupted saves started surfacing after players used Piranha Plant in All-Star Mode.
Here’s hoping that we’ll get a solution soon. Let us know in the comments if you’ve experienced this bug? For all things Nintendo, stay tuned to NinMobileNews!
