Following yesterday’s rumor train on Microsoft and Nintendo’s plans for Nintendo Switch, French news site JeuxVideo.com has corroborated on this report and has provided more information on this potential partnership.
According to JeuxVideo.com, Nintendo and Microsoft have had several meetings in Redmond which they plan on bringing games such as Ori and the Blind Forest including Cuphead on Nintendo Switch. In addition to those, Microsoft plans on bringing over 100 games on Nintendo Switch via Gamepass and/or Project xCloud, Microsoft’s Cloud game-streaming service. Rare games are expected to be included in this partnership but JeuxVideo.com believes Rare Replay could be a good candidate.
Sources close to JeuxVideo.com believe a high-profile game from Microsoft such as Halo, Forza or Gears is being considered for Nintendo Switch, however, it’s unknown in what capacity this could be, either an Xbox 360/One port. With this partnership, sources of JeuxVideo.com have not confirmed or denied whether Nintendo games are being considered on Microsoft platforms.
The nature of this relationship is quite interesting and we look forward to the future for more information. We want to remind our readers that all of the information listed in this article still stands a rumor and is not official by any means so take everything on here with a grain of salt.
