Airship Syndicate, developers behind the hit indie RPG Battle Chasers: Nightwar, is still working on a Nintendo Switch port. According to an update via their Kickstarter page, the Switch version ran into some bugs that have delayed launch, but they promise the game is close to ready:

“Trust us when we say that no one wants it out more than we do, but we obviously couldn’t release it with…problems occurring. We can’t give a date, but we can say with honesty that it’s really damn close.”

Airship Syndicate CEO Joe Madureira mentioned in a personal tweet last week that Battle Chasers for Switch had been sent to THQ’s Nordic QA for approval. According to today’s Kickstarter entry, that process uncovered a few bugs that the team will have to fix before the game is ready.

The update cited some visual issues, along with errors during certain cutscenes, as the major cause for the delay. Presumably, once the team is able to fix these issues the game will go back to THQ Nordic for another test. We’ll likely see more information after those checks are finished.
