Earlier today, the official Japanese Splatoon Twitter account has unveiled its upcoming Splatoon 2 headset for Nintendo Switch, priced at 3480 Yen, releasing alongside Splatoon 2 on July 21st in Japan.

Which brings up many questions including, when exactly can we expect the Voice App to be released and how do you pair this headset with your Switch and mobile devices? It may look confusing at first, but it does give us a better understanding as to how players will be expected to connect when using the app, and how they’ll output their audio.

The headset is to be connected with an included adapter which will work as a splitter bringing two cables that are to be routed to your Nintendo Switch system for in-game audio, and the other cable for your mobile device to listen and speak to your friends via the Voice App.

This configuration may look strange however the design of the headset looks great and replicates the new style and accessories from the upcoming Splatoon 2 universe.

There’s currently no information whether or not North America will sell them, however, we’ll be on the lookout.
