John Hanke, CEO of Niantic, provides an update with the recent occurrences of Pokémon GO Fest and the Legendary Pokémon which will be available in the coming weeks including Moltres and Zapdos, through a blog post.
As mentioned in his post, Pokémon GO Fest experienced severe outages due to oversaturation of the mobile data networks of some network providers and some technical issues with the games software caused by client crashes and interfered with gameplay for some users. He also talks about his experience with Pokémon GO Fest and his interaction with attendees and understands their frustration that occurred during the event.
Trainers around the world on Saturday participated in more than 4.6 million Raid Battles and caught more than 500 million Pokémon, including more than 1.9 million Legendary Pokémon.
During the event, it was also announced that Legendary Pokémon would be available around the world including Moltres and Zapdos.
Schedule of Legendary Pokémon coming to Pokémon GO:
- Articuno (Team Mystic) released on Saturday, July 22 and available through Monday, July 31.
- Moltres (Team Valor) to be released on Monday, July 31 and available through Monday, August 7.
- Zapdos (Team Instinct) to be released on Monday, August 7 and available through Monday, August 14.
Niantic plans to improve and they’re committed to doing so by listening to the feedback from the community.
