Redditor /u/KoopaStarRoad shared in the “ARMS” subreddit today a list of 20 internal names for playable characters, one of which is codenamed Plant.
The list is comprised of 20 codenames that correspond to each character’s unique attribute, such as Snake for Kid Cobra. Out of 20, there are currently nine names not attributed to any character:
- Chain
- Coil
- Plant
- Robo
- Scroll
- Sumo
- Surprise
- Sweet
- Twintale
Following the revelation of the internal names, there were speculations about future characters that the game might be getting. Perhaps the most notable out of the list is Plant, opening up the possibility of a plant-based character. Considering that one of the characters, is a dancing green blob, it would not be a surprise for the game to have a plant fighter. Other guesses included how codenames Sumo and Coil might translate into a character.
Redditor /u/MBCockrum also pointed out that codenames Chain, Robo, and Twintale might be unfinished or scrapped versions of already existing characters. Interestingly enough, fan-favorite fighter Twintelle is believed to be codenamed Hair and not Twintale.
Aside from the initial 20 names, there were two more names found: BossHead for Hedlok and RNA for the dummies.
We do want to note that nothing is official until it’s officially announced, however, we can’t wait to see more characters join the ARMS roster!
