The official Japanese Twitter account for ARMS has teased a glimpse of what could be the latest addition to the game’s roster. A short, grainy snippet of an unknown fighter is all we have for right now, although Nintendo did mention a new character and arms slated for an upcoming patch.
According to today’s tweet, the tiny yellow announcer, Biff managed to capture some footage of a mysterious fighter while taking pictures on vacation. Before Biff’s camera is smashed, we can see what appears to be a female fighter taking on several unknown opponents. According to the tweet, the fighter “inflates” before managing to strike and break poor Biff’s camera, ending the clip and distorting the footage.
The damage strategically hides most of the detail, including the fighter’s features and what appears to be her(his?) special ability in action. We do get a quick glimpse of a pony tail and large pants, though. What’s more, it seems that the fighter wields nunchaku-like arms in the footage, possibly hinting at a new arm type (as well as our mystery fighter’s origin.)
Thanks to the official Twitter profile’s unique storytelling style, we know that Biff has been traveling for a while now. With his camera now tragically broken, he just might be on his way home, hopefully with news of more content coming to ARMS soon.
