Only a few more hours until today’s Nintendo Direct, and information about the games that’ll be announced have already begun to appear. Mario Tennis Aces, in particular, was leaked with a slew of new information regarding the game, its playable characters, and release date window, courtesy of Japanese retailer, Rakuten.
Mario Tennis Aces appears to have a release window for June 22nd, 2018 which is a Friday. As this is still not officially confirmed by Nintendo, we’d like to remind readers that this is still a placeholder date. Mario Tennis Aces will feature a couch co-op and online play, a feature that was included in Ultra Smash. The game will also include motion controls, a feature we haven’t seen heavily used in sports games since the Wii-era.
The current known roster appears to include characters such as Mario, Wario, Waluigi, Daisy, Rosalina, Yoshi, Donkey Kong and Bowser.
