Fast RMX is a futuristic racing video game developed by the team at Shin’en Multimedia exclusively for Nintendo Switch. The game itself takes about 800MB+ of storage. The game was inspired by the F-Zero series, with a vast variety of vehicles and stunning courses to choose from.
Always stays on track
Fast RMX allows you to play in all the unique play modes for Nintendo Switch and is fully supported with HD Rumble, allowing you to play with up to 4 players split-screen, 8-player local & 8-players online.
The game features 10 cups in the campaign allowing you to unlock 30 courses in-game. The game such as the Nintendo Switch, works seamlessly, running at 60FPS in both handheld & docked mode.
More than a simple homage
Fast RMX has unique game mechanics making it even more interesting than any racing game out there. Each track within the game has color coordinated boost-pads to which players must switch between phases to obtain a boost to be ahead of the competition. Failure to switch will cause your vehicle to slow down.
This game is a must have for all Nintendo Switch owners. I personally always buy a racing game for any console I purchase, and as we anxiously await the arrival of Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, I eagerly needed a racing game at launch. I came across Fast RMX and the speed blew me away! It also filled to brim with content, what’s not to love?
There’s more to see, so stick around
During my time playing Fast RMX, I noticed how seamless it was to play in all play modes. Whether I was playing in TV mode, handheld or tabletop mode, the controls were great. Overall the experience is very fluid especially when playing with a Pro Controller.
The team at Shin’en Multimedia have already announced that an update is forthcoming that will allow players to play online with their friends & will have a time-attack mode in the future.
