Update 8/20/18: A Hat In Time has been officially announced for Nintendo Switch. Read about it here.
While covering the Linux port of “MXGP3: The Official Motocross,” GamingOnLinux spotted a curious thing: A Hat in Time marked for the Switch.
Virtual Programming, the company in charge of bringing MXGP3 to Mac, has erroneously listed A Hat In Time as in development for Linux and Switch. While the game is no longer listed on the company’s website, GamingOnLinux admin liamdawe managed to take a screenshot of the listing:
The website tried to reach Virtual Programming to explain the listing but did not respond to any inquiries. Additionally, A Hat In Time developers also told GamingOnLinux that they were not familiar with the company nor were they aware of the game coming to the Switch or Linux. The developers have also confirmed on Twitter that the game is not on its way to Switch. It is currently not known why the game was listed in Virtual Programming’s page in the first place.
Nope. Please don't turn this into another "A Hat in Time is coming to Wii U" situation đ we still hear that rumor to this day

A Hat In Time is a 3D platformer game funded on Kickstarter back in May 29, 2013. Influenced by titles such as “Super Mario 64” and Banjo-Kazooie, the game tells the story of a space-traveling girl named Hat Kid. The game is currently slated for a Fall 2017 release on multiple platforms and is published under Humble Bundle’s publishing brand.
