Nintendo is getting ready for PAX West 2017 next month on September 1-4 and has announced its plans for the event, including a hands-on preview at upcoming games including Super Mario Oddysey and Rocket League for Nintendo Switch.

PAX West attendees will have the opportunity to play Super Mario Oddysey and a chance to participate in a Super Mario Odyssey Fan Challenge which will be running every day of the show. Participants of the Super Mario Oddysey Fan Challange will have to complete activities relating to the game to receive a passport stamp and once players collect all required stamps, they will obtain a Super Mario Odyssey themed gift as a reward, while supplies last.

For the first time ever, PAX West attendees will have the opportunity to play competitive games including Rocket LeagueNBA 2K18, FIFA 18 and Pokkén Tournament DX. As we reported last week, Nintendo will be hosting a live filming of Nintendo Minute focused on Metroid: Samus Returns and the return of Nindies@Night with a Pokkén Tournament DX Virtual Fan Academy fan event.

Nindies@Night will be returning to allow fans to speak with developers about unreleased indie games coming to Nintendo Switch in a public event on August 31 at the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle, starting at 8:30 pm through midnight. The event will be live-streamed and will feature first-ever gameplay. Indie festivities will also continue in the Nindie Arcade at PAX West at the convention center on the third floor in room 3B starting noon-9 pm, Friday to Sunday, and noon 6 pm on Monday.

On September 2, up to 600 lucky fans will have the opportunity to attend a live filming of Nintendo Minute with Kit and Krysta and other members of the Nintendo Treehouse. As mentioned previously, the Nintendo Minute segment will be focused on the upcoming 2D Metroid: Samus Returns for Nintendo 3DS which will reveal new gameplay, new content and featured fan art. Exclusive giveaways including a collectible Nintendo Power cover-inspired posters will be available for those while attend, while supplies last. The segment will be filmed from 10-11 am in the Hydra Theatre Leonesa I-III Ballroom at the Grand Hyatt Seattle hotel.

3DS fans will also have the opportunity to play some new games including Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions and Metroid: Samus Returns.

Lastly, My Nintendo Reward Members will have an opportunity to check in with their QR Code pattern to receive a My Nintendo Pass which will grant pass holders to access a priority line with shorter wait times for the Nintendo booth and Nindies Arcade during specified times. Passes will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and while supplies last. Additional information will be available on https://my.nintendo.com/.
