Animal Crossing Pocket Camp makes its way onto mobile devices in late November 2017, according to a Nintendo Direct presentation earlier this evening. The mobile title brings several features and faces that Animal Crossing fans will likely find familiar.
In Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, players find themselves as manager of a brand new Animal Crossing campsite. As camp manager, you’ll need to gather resources to craft new furniture for your very own camper, and amenities to delight your friends. You’ll gather fruit, fish, and bugs to trade complete a collection, and interact with animal villagers in fun ways to grow your friendships.
Players get their very own camper, allowing them to travel across the map to different locations they can explore. In true Animal Crossing fashion, customizing your camper is a huge part of the game. Crafting furniture to spruce up your rolling home means exploring and gather resources. You can trade these with villagers for special items. Craft specific pieces and you can “host” villagers, allowing them to come over any time.
You’ll also interact with other camp managers that pop in from time to time. You can even invite your friends that also play Animal Crossing Pocket Camp to come and visit. You’ll be able to purchase items from other managers for bells. You can even visit other managers’ campsites to check out their customization, and give them “kudos” if you like what you see.
Animal Crossing Pocket Camp is slated to release in late November, exclusively for iOS and Android devices. Players interested in keeping up to date can pre-register to be notified as soon as the game goes live.
