It’s been a while since we’ve heard any news surrounding a Nintendo Direct since last year. Many fans have been wondering as to why Nintendo has been announcing release dates of their games on social media rather than including them on a Nintendo Direct.

Most notably, Nintendo announced the official release date of Yoshi’s Crafted World on Twitter and Metroid Prime’s 4 delay on YouTube. In a Q&A from today’s financial meeting, Takashi Mochizuki reports that Nintendo has not changed their stance of how they promote and announce their games, rather it may feel as they have due to a lack of a Nintendo Direct.

As this doesn’t outright mean we’re getting a Nintendo Direct anytime soon, we do look forward to any upcoming announcements in the near future. Let us know your thoughts on this subject in the comments below!
