Update 11/29/2017 at 5;05 PM ET: When tapping the Super Mario Cereal amiibo into Super Mario Odyssey, it’ll mark the location of a Power Moon in-game and does not unlock any additional costumes.
Update 11/29/2017 at 10:15 AM ET: Super Mario Cereal has begun to appear in the US and we get a look at the back of the packaging, courtesy of /r/Nintendo. Currently the amiibo functionality is unknown, but we’ll keep you updated once its revealed.

Earlier this week, a rumor was going around for an upcoming Super Mario themed cereal that would be available in stores very soon. As reported, the Super Mario Cereal would include a unique amiibo sticker that would be compatible with Super Mario Odyssey, however, it’s exact functionality is still unknown.
Kellogg’s UK & IRE confirmed the release of the Super Mario Cereal on Twitter, mentioning that it would be released in the US, but not in the UK, for now. Being that this is an official account and has already begun to appear on retailer terminals, we should be seeing it very soon!
Exactly when it’ll be arriving in stores is unknown, however, for those who are looking into purchasing a few to collect the limited amiibo sticker, we suggest to start contacting your local stores for its availability.
