Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp’s latest update has arrived for iOS and Android users. With the new update being released, the game’s servers are currently down for maintenance, however, new information has been revealed by dataminers. Thanks to curious code-breakers over at the Pocket Camp subreddit, we now know what may be popping up once Pocket Camp’s servers return.

Some minor adjustments have been made to the game, including icons for animals in your camp, alterations to the items given to you by specific campers, and the addition of an autosave point after paying off your loan. In addition to these changes, there’s also been a warning added when trying to craft or build duplicate items.

Gardening also continues to pick up speed, with the addition of 20+ new flowers to grow. A screenshot taking and sharing function is also included, meaning you’ll be able to take pictures of your town and garden and share them with friends.

Tutorials for gardening are also now present within the update, with tutorials for growing, pollinating, and purchasing flowers all datamined. Another string of text seems to imply you’ll have to be a specific level in order to garden. Furthermore, four new insect species are present in the garden, and 17 new pieces of furniture can be earned as garden rewards. Finally, a new tab has been added to the shop for gardening supplies, alongside a mysterious “cash shop”.

4 new villagers, complete with portraits, have also been spotted amongst the update’s content. Ava, Boots, Sprinkle, and Static are all joining Pocket Camp, so keep an eye out for them showing up sometime soon. Speaking of new friends, a new function is being added to the game that will allow you to send friend requests via a text message.

Additionally, a slot machine is being added to OK Motors in the future. You’ll need Friend Powders to give it a whirl, and you can earn medals that can be exchanged for materials, essences, furniture, and clothes.

More stretch goals have been added, meaning more optional achievements for players to work towards. The list of those is as follows:

Catch a rare creature.

Catch “x” rare creatures.

Harvest

Harvest flowers “x” times.

Water some flowers.

Water flowers “x” times.

Cross-pollinate flowers.

Cross-pollinate flowers “x” times.

Share a rare creature you caught with a friend.

Share a rare creature with a friend “x” times.

Craft a piece of clothing.

Craft “x” pieces of clothing.

A slew of banners have also been added, all showing off more content for the mobile title.

The first two of the banners show Isabelle alongside some Leaf Tickets and Flower Seeds. Looks like she’ll be the one helping to kickstart your garden with you.

The next two a bit harder to figure out the exact nature of, but it looks as though Tom Nook will be hosting some kind of Winter-themed event soon.

Recurring series character Rover also is making his Pocket Camp debut, getting a whole event to himself called Rover’s Garden Safari. This lines up with one of the “events” datamined, but we’ll get to that in a bit. He seems to have been the character that Animal Crossing’s social media accounts have been teasing would join Pocket Camp’s lineup.

Also among the banners is one boasting a update for the Able sisters, alongside a cute bunny outfit.

Finally, we get to what I think is the most interesting of the banners. This one features two new pieces of furniture, as well as Roald, a penguin who, in the main games, is just a regular villager. Could individual villagers be getting more importance in the future of Pocket Camp? We’ll have to wait and see.

Also added to the game are new pieces of furniture, new craftable outfits, and clothes for three of the new villagers. New essences are also mentioned, the added ones being: hip, harmonious, civic, elegant, modern, and historical. No images exist for these essences yet, however.

Finally, a list of events have been added, including a few that have already happened. Most new events are mysteries, but others we know a bit more about. The events and their coded order are:

2003 special furniture (October 25th)
2010 holiday 2017 (November 30th)
2013 Event Challenge (November 30th)
2021 Host the Most (December 5th)
2022 Friend Frenzy (December 11th)
2030 New Year’s 2018
2033 Event Challenge
2041 Host the Most
2050 Rover
2053 Event Challenge
2060 OK Motors
2062 Host the Most
2070 winter sports
2073 Event Challenge
2074 Trial Challenge
2075 Trial Challenge
2080 seasonal item

The Rover event shown earlier in the banners section makes a reappearance here, and thanks to the dataminers we have an idea of what it entails. Planting a specific type of flower, dahlias, will attract the four new butterfly species to the garden. Catching these butterflies will add them to your collection, and you can also use them to trade with Rover for exclusive clothes and furniture.

Winter Sports is among the mystery events, though we do know one thing about it: it will include a new material you can collect, snowflakes, which can be crafted into new furniture items. Between that information and the banner above, it’s likely that Tom Nook and potentially Raold will be hosting this event.

And that’s all there is for now! Pocket Camp’s 1.1.0 update looks to be a doozy, with tons of content that’s sure to keep fans playing for a good while. Keep following NMN and our sister community, ACPocketNews, as we’ll continue to cover Pocket Camp and it’s updates in the future. Thanks to r/ACPocketCamp, SenorDeeebs, and bluesun for the info.
