Since it’s announcement at E3 last year, Nintendo has confirmed a sequel to the Metroid Prime series. Metroid Prime 4 is currently in development and an official release date for the title is pending. Nintendo is yet to announce who’s working on the upcoming game but sources close to Eurogamer have confirmed that Bandai Namco is the studio behind its development.
More specifically, Bandai Namco’s Singapore studio is developing the sequel. The studio houses former LucasArts Singapore staff who previously worked on the canceled Star Wars 1313 game. Nintendo hasn’t officially confirmed their involvement, however, they did confirm that Retro Studios, the creators of the original trilogy, is not behind this new project.
