It’s been a while since we’ve received any sort of news regarding Metroid Prime 4 for Nintendo Switch since it’s reveal announcement at E3 2017.

Earlier today, Nintendo has released a video addressing the game’s progress and mentions that development has been restarted due to quality concerns.

Nintendo’s Senior Managing Executive Office, Shinya Takahashi apologizes to fans regarding the game’s development and it’s delay, however, he  assures fans that Nintendo plans to launch the game when it’s fulfilled the quality standards from previous Metroid Prime titles.

Nintendo has also announced that Retro Studios will now lead development for Metroid Prime 4 and reiterates that the decision of restarting development from scratch was not easy, however, they hope to please fans when the game is officially released.
