In an interview with Game Informer, Super Mario Odyssey producer, Yoshiaki Koizumi has discussed the possibility of future DLC for the game.
As mentioned by Mr. Koizumi, when developing Super Mario Odyssey, they’ve tried to add as much content as possible, allowing players to explore all its secrets.
Future additions and ideas are open for consideration as DLC, however, nothing at this time can be officially announced.
“There’s a lot of volume (Super Mario Odyssey). That was a big focus in development. Give the player tons to do. We pushed ourselves to create as much as we could. I can’t announce anything specifically today, but of course, if there was a really cool idea for us to do, then we would certainly be thinking about DLC
Super Mario Odyssey will be receiving an update later this month which will add the Luigi’s Ballon World minigame, costumes and new snapshot filters.
In Luigi’s Ballon World, players will have the option to find and hide Ballons to compete with players around the world. We’ll be sure to keep you all informed once the update is released.
