Fans clamoring for more information based on Splatoon 2’s Octo Expansion DLC are in luck, as the official Splatoon Twitter account has been generous enough to further clarify its upcoming features. Most of it just repeats what we already know, while some of it is brand new information.
The downloadable content will include “over 80 levels”, while the teaser mentioned that we would receive a solid 80 levels. What we do know is that each buyer will receive a lot of content for their money. Pearl and Marina will also provide support throughout this new story. They will allow players to skip certain stages and return right to the story. It is unknown as to how this will work at this time.
The account also assures us that Octolings and Inklings will play the same way, meaning that the differences are just in the cosmetics. Good to know that Nintendo isn’t trying to give the upper-hand to those that pay for the new content.
The expansion will retail for $19.99 and will release sometime this Summer. You can already pre-purchase the new DLC pack and those who do will receive new gear, starting today.
