Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is racking up all sorts of sales numbers, especially in Japan with over 300,000 digital copies downloaded during December 2018.

According to a Famitsu chart leaked by Japanese leaker ryokutya and cited by Nintendo EverythingSmash Bros. Ultimate garnered 309,229 downloads on its release month. That’s a far cry from the download rate of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on PlayStation 4, which comes in second place with over 144,000 downloads. The sales numbers were obtained from November 26 to December 30.

This kind of statistic is to be expected, considering that the game sold over 3 million copies collectively across all formats. It would be interesting to see how the game fared during January 2019.
