It’s typical for employees or lucky customers of a video game retailer to leak images of unreleased games and the contents found within, however, this is an interesting find, especially for how early it has surfaced.
A redditor on the /r/Metroid subreddit has shared a picture of what seems to be either promotional artwork or the actual box-art for Metroid: Samus Returns – Special Edition.
The user who posted this image did not provide any additional information as to how they got it however very interesting to see it available so early, especially if it’s the actual packaging!
One thing to note is a new Aeion Ability named Phase Drift which allows you to “slow time for everyone but yourself.”
Metroid: Samus Returns standalone and special edition will be available on September 15th!
