Miiverse has been a core part of the Nintendo experience ever since the Wii U launched. It was even brought over to the Nintendo 3DS family of systems via a software update. Since then, it’s been integrated into certain Nintendo games and remained a consistent part of the social Nintendo experience. Today, however, Nintendo announced the end of an era. As of November 8th, at 3 pm (Japan-time), support for Miiverse, as well as Wii U chat and Nintendo TVii, will cease to exist.

Once the service has been terminated, users will no longer have access to any Miiverse services. Previous messages that talked about these services in compatible games will also be removed. Additional information as to how some games will be affected will be announced soon, including  Super Mario Maker and any other games that use depend on the service.

Will you miss Miiverse, Wii U chat, and TVii? Be sure to let us know your thoughts down in the comments!
