Nintendo is reaching close to an agreement in creating an animated Mario Movie with Universal Ilumination

The Wall Street Journal is reporting an upcoming animated Mario movie to be in the works very soon.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Nintendo is closing on an agreement with Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures to create the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Nintendo’s involvement with this upcoming animated movie will bring the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto as a possible producer, along with Chris Meledandri.

Illumination Entertainment is known for creating the popular Despicable Me franchise.
