SEGA will be making a return to SXSW this year with a “world-exclusive first look” at what’s coming for the future of Sonic. According to their panel description for the event, SEGA will also provide an update on last year’s performance for Sonic Mania and Sonic Forces. The panel speakers include Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka, Sonic PD Director Austin Keys, Sonic Mania Animation Director Tyson Hesse, and Sonic Social Media Manager Aaron Webber.
It’s unknown whether a new game will be announced, however, we can only hope so! We’ll make sure to keep you all updated as more information is available later on March 16th.
