The New York Toy Fair 2018 is known to showcase plenty of toys and collectibles, and this year a slew of new figures have been revealed. This year we were given our first look at the Diamond Selects line of Sonic The Hedgehog figures.
One of the first collectible figures to be shown was the Sonic Series 1 Minimate Box Set, which includes Sonic, Tails, Amy, Eggman, Silver, and Cream and Cheese. This set, in particular, resembles off-brand LEGO figures and makes all the characters look very block-like.
Besides the Minimate series of figures, Diamond Selects also has a larger set of dioramas that look fantastic. Two of them were on display with one of them featuring Sonic grabbing a ring in Green Hill Zone, and the other displaying Tails swinging his tail and looking at a Chaos Emerald. These larger figures will be exclusive to GameStop, and a release date has not been announced.
