Nintendo revealed a Nintendo Switch version of Okami HD during today’s Nintendo Direct presentation. Capcom’s hit platformer will feature touch and motion controls and launches later this summer.
Switch players finally get a chance to traverse the painterly world as the celestial wolf Amaterasu. All of the features from the previous Okami HD console releases are here, with a bit of Switch-exclusive flair. Players can use touch controls in handheld mode to map the game’s brush features and use the right Joy-con motion controls for this feature in docked mode.
We still don’t have word on the exact performance details for the game, but it’s likely safe to assume we’ll see a 1080p resolution in docked mode, with 720p in handheld. More details, as well as an official release date, should surface closer to launch.
