After skipping an entry in 2018, the official World Rally Championship series is making a return this September with WRC 8.

In a press release, Bigben and Kylotonn say they have taken the community’s feedback and lessons from the eSports WRC Championship to deliver an entirely improved experience over its predecessor. From more technical routes to a complete career mode, Bigben and Kylotonn say WRC 8 “will go above and beyond WRC 7, especially in the steering requirements and the realistic physics of the vehicles.”

WRC 8 will offer more drivers from WRC 2 and Junior WRC along with historic models that will be announced in the near future. Players will get to race on more than 100 stages located in 14 countries from around the globe. WRC 8’s career mode will allow you to “upgrade your car to unprecedented new levels of detail and develop your team.”

In addition to these improvements, WRC 8 will feature a dynamic weather system to add another level of depth and realism to the driving experience.

A new dynamic weather system has been developed to add random elements to the driving experience, but also to increase realism in the game. Managing the weather is a real challenge for the drivers: modified grip, car settings adjustments, tire selection optimization, weather team relationship to ensure the best tips and information on the latest conditions. More than mere visual effects, climatic conditions become crucial, especially in the management of your career.

WRC 8 will be coming to Switch sometime in September 2019. Excited for the return, and debut, of WRC on Switch? Let us know below!
