Japanese publication Nikkei reported today that Nintendo might be planning on releasing a smaller Switch and a new online service in the 2019 Fiscal Year.

The Nikkei article, translated by Nintendo Everything, reports that the smaller console will cost less and have a bigger focus on portability. Nikkei states, “they are ‘miniaturizing the console with portability and playing outdoors in mind, as well as cutting features to reduce the price and expand the userbase.”

In addition to a smaller Switch, Nikkei also reports that Nintendo will launch a more expensive version of the Nintendo Switch Online service later in 2019. Nikkei stated that the new service is “aimed at game enthusiasts willing to pay more.”

How do you feel about a smaller, more portable, Switch coming in the future? How about a more premium Switch Online service with more games and features? Let us know.
