Game Informer’s Imran Khan visited the Kinda Funny Games show earlier this week, sharing new tidbits of information regarding Nintendo and upcoming games for Nintendo Switch.
During the show, Imran Khan mentioned that Nintendo plans to “Revive a game that’s thought to be dead, and it’s not one that people would expect.” Khan also added, “it was very much a title that was dead and buried, very officially canceled.” Khan has said he’s “heard enough about this game”, “almost sure it exists again.” No additional information about what this game could be, however, we’ll have to wait and see.
With the release of Kingdom Hearts 3, fans have been wondering what Nintendo and Square Enix could do to bring the series on Nintendo Switch. Khan addressed this by mentioning he’s heard that Nintendo and Square Enix have considered Kingdom Hearts 3 for the system, however, they decided that its unfeasible due to the game being very demanding in terms of performance and graphics with Unreal Engine 4.
With this being said, Khan believes that Nintendo and Square Enix may be considering the remasters for Nintendo Switch, however, he’s unsure whether they’re currently being worked on.
Overall it would be very exciting to see the Kingdom Hearts series represented on Nintendo Switch, however, we’ll just have to wait and see. Let us know in the comments on what game you think Nintendo could be reviving that is considered to be “dead and buried” and what Kingdom Hearts remaster you’d like to see on Nintendo Switch?
