The Nvidia Shield TV is arguably one of the best Android-powered devices currently on the market, as it handles gaming quite well. Yesterday, Nvidia revealed that the device would be making it out to mainland China shortly. Along with this announcement came the reveal of several remastered Nintendo titles. Most notable is that these games will not be downloaded to the system, but will rather run on a server farm and will be streamed.
These titles will become available through the streaming service GeForce Now, which will be handling the streaming of the games. The remastered games include New Super Mario Bros. Wii, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Punch-Out (Wii), and Super Mario Galaxy. Each game has been remastered to run at 1080p, where each one will cost roughly $10.
The strong relationship with Nvidia and Nintendo seems to be expanding, which brings up the possibility of these coming to the West. This does not necessarily mean that they could ever come over, as they are more likely than not staying in China. These are also not straight Tegra ports, as these are only being streamed in real time.
