Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is making its way to PC soon, and Obsidian has just announced that it will also be available later this Holiday for Nintendo Switch. The game is being ported to consoles by developer Red Cerberus. Versus Evil and Obsidian are working together to publish the game.

The first isometric RPG, Pillars of Eternity, was met with pretty decent reviews and the second one is looking to continue this tradition. The sequel, Deadfire, was crowdfunded and raised nearly four and a half million dollars towards the project.

Deadfire will have immersive dynamic weather and a living, breathing world, where everyone will have their own appointments and tasks to do. Companions new and old will be a part of the action, and strategy will be needed to develop a good understanding of the mechanics. Though they may seem overwhelming and non-traditional, careful learning and patience will be useful to learning of the RPG-elements.
