Update 12/8/17 at 1:08 PM ET: Platinum Games have shared new details regarding pricing for Bayonetta 2. Bayonetta 2 will be available for $49.99 / €49.99 on eShop.
For those who choose to purchase the digital version of Bayonetta 2, players will have the option to also purchase the digital version of the original Bayonetta game for $9.99 / €9.99. However, if players choose to download the standalone digital version of Bayonetta first, they will pay $29.99 / €29.99, with the option to then get the digital version of Bayonetta 2 for an additional $29.99/ €29.99.
Platinum Games has shared new information after yesterday’s Bayonetta announcement for Nintendo Switch. In a new post, Platinum Games revealed that Bayonetta 2 for Nintendo Switch will support amiibo, including the Bayonetta amiibo from the Super Smash Bros. series.
In addition to amiibo support, Bayonetta 2 will also feature local wireless co-operative play with the previously online-only coop Tag Climax. Video capture support is also included in the Switch version of Bayonetta 2.
Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 will be available separately on the Nintendo eShop in North America, Europe, and Australia on February 16. A physical release of Bayonetta 2 will also be available at retail stores and will include a download code for the digital edition of Bayonetta.
