Bandai Namco has officially announced the Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy for the Switch in Japan. This official confirmation comes on the heels of an announcement last week in Shonen Jump weekly, adding a few details about this new version. The collection includes all three Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm titles for 6,800 yen (around $63 USD.)
According to the announcement page, the Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy boasts graphics and framerate close to those for the PS4. The trilogy will run at 900p in docked mode and 720p in handheld. All configurations retain the games’ original 30fps frame rate.
The trilogy supports dual Joy-con and the Switch Pro controller, but single Joy-con play didn’t make the cut. Players can connect 4 Joy-con controllers for head-to-head battles offline on one console, though it remains to be seen if local network play is an option. The Switch version will, of course, support online play in docked or handheld modes.
The Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy will be available exclusively in Japan. If you’re looking for ninja fighting action in any other region, it may once again be time to break out that secondary Japan eShop profile.
